The Crisis We Are Facing
Ecological issues have become omnipresent throughout the world. They are affecting people from different places and backgrounds, whether they live in cities or the countryside, mountainous regions or plains. A majority of us have been exposed to extreme weather events such as heavy rains, floods, heatwaves, and droughts, while facing various types of pollution at the same time, ranging from bad air quality to widespread plastic waste. In one way or another we are all affected by these issues.
Program Overview
Temples and religious institutions hold significant potential to serve as centers for ecological awareness and action. Monastics, as respected spiritual leaders, play an influential role within their communities. Their position enables them to inspire reflection, ethical engagement, and collective responses toward greater social and ecological justice. The Eco-Dharma Camp is designed as a space to support and empower monastics from across Thailand in taking on this role. The camp introduces practical ecological concepts and demonstrates how temples can become active hubs for sustainability initiatives rooted in Buddhist teachings and practice.
Each day, participants will engage with guest speakers involved in environmental work across different fields, including community engagement, policy development, and media advocacy. Monastics from within the INEB Network who are already committed to ecological initiatives will also share their experiences. Through these exchanges, the camp seeks to inspire participants and offer practical perspectives on how Buddhist monks and nuns can integrate sustainability into their daily lives, spiritual practice, and community leadership.
Who Can Apply?
The program is open to all Buddhist monks and nuns aged 18 and above. We welcome participants who are interested in learning about ecological practices and who wish to explore how sustainability connects with Buddhist teachings in both theory and practice.

วิกฤตที่เรากำลังเผชิญ
ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมได้กลายเป็นปัญหาที่แพร่หลายไปทั่วโลก ส่งผลกระทบต่อผู้คนจากทุกสถานที่และทุกภูมิหลัง ไม่ว่าพวกเขาจะอาศัยอยู่ในเมืองหรือชนบท ภูเขาหรือที่ราบ คนส่วนใหญ่ต่างเคยเผชิญกับเหตุการณ์สภาพอากาศรุนแรง เช่น ฝนตกหนัก น้ำท่วม คลื่นความร้อน และภัยแล้ง ขณะเดียวกันก็ต้องเผชิญกับมลภาวะหลายประเภท ตั้งแต่คุณภาพอากาศที่ไม่ดีไปจนถึงขยะพลาสติกจำนวนมหาศาล ไม่ว่าทางใดทางหนึ่ง เราทุกคนต่างได้รับผลกระทบจากปัญหาเหล่านี้
ภาพรวมโปรแกรม
วัดและสถาบันทางศาสนามีศักยภาพอย่างมากในการทำหน้าที่เป็นศูนย์กลางของการตระหนักรู้และการปฏิบัติด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม พระภิกษุสงฆ์ในฐานะผู้นำทางจิตที่ได้รับการเคารพ มีบทบาทสำคัญในชุมชนของตน ตำแหน่งของพระช่วยให้พวกท่านสามารถสร้างแรงบันดาลใจในการไตร่ตรอง การมีส่วนร่วมทางจริยธรรม และการตอบสนองร่วมกันเพื่อความยุติธรรมทางสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ดียิ่งขึ้น
Eco-Dharma Camp ถูกออกแบบมาเพื่อเป็นพื้นที่สร้างแรงบันดาลใจ สนับสนุน และเสริมสร้างศักยภาพให้แก่พระภิกษุสงฆ์จากทั่วประเทศไทยในการรับบทบาทนี้ ค่ายนี้มุ่งหวังที่จะแนะนำแนวคิดเชิงนิเวศที่นำไปใช้ได้จริง และแสดงให้เห็นว่าวัดวาอารามสามารถเป็นศูนย์กลางของโครงการริเริ่มด้านความยั่งยืนที่หยั่งรากอยู่ในคำสอนและการปฏิบัติทางพุทธศาสนาได้อย่างไรในแต่ละวันผู้เข้าร่วมจะได้พบปะกับวิทยากรรับเชิญที่ทำงานด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมในหลากหลายสาขา รวมถึงการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชน การพัฒนานโยบาย และการรณรงค์ผ่านสื่อ นอกจากนี้ยังจะเชิญพระภิกษุและภิกษุณีที่ทำงานด้านโครงการริเริ่มทางนิเวศวิทยาอยู่แล้วมาร่วมแบ่งปันประสบการณ์
ค่ายนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้ผู้เข้าร่วมและนำเสนอแนวคิดเชิงปฏิบัติเกี่ยวกับวิธีการที่พระภิกษุและภิกษุณีสามารถบูรณาการความยั่งยืนเข้ากับชีวิตประจำวัน การปฏิบัติธรรม และการเป็นผู้นำชุมชนได้อย่างลึกซึ้งยิ่งขึ้น

ค่ายนี้เปิดรับภิกษุและภิกษุณีทุกรูปที่มีอายุ 18 ปีขึ้นไป เรายินดีต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมที่สนใจเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับการปฏิบัติด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม และผู้ที่ต้องการสำรวจว่าความยั่งยืนเชื่อมโยงกับคำสอนทางพุทธศาสนาอย่างไร ทั้งในเชิงทฤษฎีและเชิงปฏิบัติ โปรดทราบว่าภาษาทางการของค่ายคือภาษาไทย
